10/21/23 - Sift for Brains event results

This last weekend, on October 21st 2023, SCRAPS had our first volunteer sifting party where we had over 25 volunteers show up to help us sift out the compost from our compost bins.

We enjoyed live music from Jared Tyler, drinks, snacks, debuted raccoin, and had a sifting good time.

Our volunteers should be extremely proud of themselves! After much shoveling, we sifted 340 cubic feet of cured pre-compost into approx. 130 cubic feet of beautiful compost that will go to community gardens across Tulsa.

It took 110 volunteer hours in one day to accomplish this herculean task.

Congratulations to the crew for their hard work and contribution to local sustainability.
